This is a private reference site, not a St. Clair County government office. We cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, pull official booking records, or tell you whether a person is still held at the jail. Use the official office or locator that controls the record.

Where to Look First

For local jail custody, start with the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office and the jail campus, not the courthouse. The St. Clair County Intervention and Detention Center / St. Clair County Jail is at 1170 Michigan Road, Port Huron, MI 48060. Sheriff's Office public hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. General sheriff inquiries go to (810) 987-1700, jail information and bond questions go to (810) 987-1720, and non-emergency dispatch is (810) 985-8115.

For sheriff booking records, jail records, incident reports, or booking-image requests, use the sheriff FOIA route: 1170 Michigan Road, Port Huron, MI 48060; email sherifffoia@stclaircounty.org; fax (810) 966-4302. Michigan FOIA requests should describe the record clearly, such as the person's name, DOB if known, booking date, booking number, complaint number, incident type, and location.

For court filings after arrest, the St. Clair County Prosecuting Attorney is at 201 McMorran Blvd., Suite 3300, Port Huron, MI 48060, phone (810) 985-2400. The court-records fallback is the county Court Schedules and Records page, 31st Circuit Web Inquiry, MiCOURT Case Search, and the County Clerk/Register of Deeds at (810) 985-2200.

  • Someone in the county jail: use the official sheriff portal described on jail inmate records and search by last name or booking number.
  • Booking photos: review jail roster mugshots; if a photo is not online, request the booking image through sheriff FOIA.
  • Charges filed after an arrest: use court records after a jail arrest, then check District Case Records, 31st Circuit Web Inquiry, or MiCOURT.
  • A specific local facility: use the footer link to the St. Clair County Intervention and Detention Center / St. Clair County Jail page.
  • A sentenced Michigan prisoner: search MDOC OTIS, which covers prisoners, parolees, probationers, and some recent discharged offenders under MDOC supervision.
  • A federal or immigration detainee: search the BOP Inmate Locator for federal custody or ICE ODLS for immigration custody. Michigan VINELink can help with custody and release notifications.
  • Mobile access: the St. Clair County Sheriff MI app is available on Google Play and the Apple App Store for sheriff communications, public-safety information, tips, and possible mobile inmate lookup access.
